- Red Rock State Park/ Oak Creek Canyon
- Roughly a 2-hour drive from Phoenix and located in the town of Sedona, this magical country is the most visited area in Arizona after the Grand Canyon. Once revered by the Native Americans as sacred land, Red Rocks is, by legend, one of the world's “power spots.” The park contains 5 miles of different looped trails that wind through lush Oak Creek, to red-rock vistas and woodlands. You can hike the trails by yourself or take advantage of one of the free, guided bird, nature, or moonlight walks. For more info, visit www.azstateparks.com/parks/rero.

- Where The Girls Are
- Everywhere. Phoenix doesn't have one section of town where lesbians hang out, but the area between 5th Ave & 32nd St, and Camelback & Thomas Streets does contain most of the women's bars.
