  • Joshua Tree National Park
  • About an hour's drive northeast on Hwy 62, you will find one of the state's most unusual and amazing landscapes. Rugged granite monoliths jut out from the desert floor, creating an almost other-worldly effect. Two deserts, the Colorado and the Mojave, come together in this huge park, illustrating the dramatic differences between high and low desert environments. For more info, visit www.nps.gov/jotr.
