- Cheaha State Park
- Located about 80 miles east of Birmingham, this park is home to the highest point in Alabama. At 2,407 feet and surrounded by the Talladega National Forest, the view from Mt. Cheaha is spectacular! The park currently has 10 miles (and growing) of bike trails, but rock-climbers, hikers, wildflower- and foliage-enthusiasts, and fisher-persons will also find plenty to do. Camping, cabins, and hotel accommodations are available if one day is not enough! Visit www.alapark.com/cheaharesort for more info.
